The Yentzen-60s Cut. This is your Grandpas call.
Long before it was redesigned, tweaked, or modernized, a Yentzen hung from lanyards across duck camps and timber holes. It’s been the last sound a lot of ducks ever heard. Over the decades, the look changed. The sound changed. Pieces of what made it special got lost along the way.
So we went back.
We pulled an original call dating to the 1960s and rebuilt it with intention. We rebuild it the same way it was done in the 60's. This is the Yentzen as it was meant to be.
The sound is unapologetic.
An open top end that has no ceiling. A nasty, raspy bottom that ducks can’t ignore. Open feed, plenty of rattle, and a tone that lives comfortably from soft finesse to wide-open hail calls. It does what a great call is supposed to do: work when it matters.
This isn’t a nostalgia piece. It’s a working man’s call built on heritage.
The days of saying “they don’t make ’em like they used to” are over.
This is your grandpa’s Yentzen and it kills ducks, just like it has for generations.
